Distributed European Infrastructure for Supercomputing Applications proposal call

A call for DEISA Extreme Computing proposals has just opened (see http://www.deisa.eu/science/deci/deci-call-for-proposals2009) and will close on 4 May 2009.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite PIs from Ireland, particularly Class A PIs, to consider this as a unique opportunity to tackle Grand Challenge problems. Note that collaborative, cross-national or cross-disciplinary proposals - including proposals with collaborators from outside Europe - will be particularly well received.

The UK Applications Task Force representative is Gavin Pringle (g.pringle at epcc.ed.ac.uk), who will also be providing assistance/advice to PIs from Ireland on completing the proposal template.
