PRACE 2nd Regular CallThis article is outdated - use this information at your own risk! Posted on 13 December 2010 |
PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) has issued its second regular call. The closing date for applications is 16:00 CET Jan 11th 2011 and the allocation period is 12 months.
Significantly this call provides access to the new Curie Bull x86 cluster for the first time. This system is architecturally quite similar to Stokes and many users will find it more accessible than the Blue Gene/P Jugene system which is also available.
40 million compute hours are available on Currie and 360 million on Jugene in this call. Further details can be found here: http://www.prace-project.eu/hpc-access/prace_second_regular_call.pdf
Any Irish based researchers who are interested in participating in the call are strongly encouraged to contact ICHEC for advice and assistance in advance of making their application.
