UNIX File Permissions

Below is a video explaining file permissions. File permissions need to be set correctly to allow collaborators to access your files and also more importantly to stop others.

This type of security is only relevant to Kay users and not external hacking. You should still be vigilant about your passwords and access to your own lab machines.

You may wish to expand the video to full screen, that is the boxy button, bottom right. Also if you cannot see the text adjust the quality, which is the flower button, bottom right. The achievable quality will be dependent on the internet speed.
