ICHEC shortlisted for ISA Software Industry Awards 2015
For the second time in two years, ICHEC is proud to be shortlisted as a finalist in the category of "Outstanding Academic Achievement in the field of Digital Technology" for this year's annual ISA Software Industry Awards. The nomination and shortlisting is in recognition of our ground-breaking work with our industry partner Xilinx, in developing ways to reduce power consumption in today's data centres through the use of FPGAs.
The ISA Software Industry Awards celebrate those companies who have achieved exceptional success, developed innovative technologies and partnerships and achieved significant results over the last year. The Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year Award category recognises an academic institution, department or individual for outstanding contribution to the software sector through research-led innovation and effective commercial application with clear benefits delivered to the software industry.
"This is a highly coveted award, and being shortlisted is in itself a great recognition of the impact of our research output", says Prof. J-C Desplat, Director of ICHEC, "To be nominated two years in a row underlines the impact of ICHEC's work within the software industry in Ireland."
The ISA Software Industry Award ceremony take place on Friday 20th November.
