ICHEC Win ISA Software Industry Award 2016
ICHEC were awarded with an "Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year" from the ISA Software Industry Awards at the annual awards event held in the Mansion House, Dublin. ICHEC is proud to have entered this competition finishing runners up in 2014 and 2015.
30 companies and organisations have been shortlisted for the ISA Software Awards 2016. The ISA, alongside award gold sponsors Bank of Ireland, ByrneWallace and Enterprise Ireland have extended their congratulations to the companies on this significant achievement.
Following publication of shortlisted entries, all companies will present to eight independent panels of judges, composed of CEOs and founders of successful Irish software and digital technology companies.
On being shortlisted for the Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year Award, Prof. JC Desplat (ICHEC director), commented: “I am delighted that ICHEC has been shortlisted by IBEC-ISIN for this prestigious award, making this our third consecutive selection. This consistency is a good indicator of the constant stream of innovations coming out of our centre”. Dr. Simon Wong, project lead at ICHEC for the software and data anlaysis work under consideration, added: “It has been a pleasure for our team to work with our partners, including Prof. Dermot Kenny’s group at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, on cutting edge medical diagnostics technology to improve patient care. We believe that software innovations play a critical role in the medical diagnostics industry that often brings together expertise from diverse fields of science, engineering and IT.”
