James studied Physics in University of Galway and went on to work in various software engineering roles in the Telecomms / Digital Optics / Healthcare and Sports industries.
He returned to academia some years later to do a Masters in Sub-Atomic Physics in Strasbourg. They told him it would be taught in English... it wasn't!
Having lived in France for a few years, he returned to Ireland and co-founded a mobile marketing automation startup where he was CTO for 7 years.
Before joining ICHEC James was the Chief Data Officer of LiveScore Group where he had the opportunity to build and lead the Data departments in Galway and London, growing to 45 team members and 50 million monthly active users.
James is based in the Galway office. He enjoys music (playing & listening), skiing, traveling (Myanmar was a big highlight) and following the general madness around cryptocurrencies.
