Description

CMake is a family of tools designed to build, test and package software. CMake is used to control the software compilation process using simple platform and compiler independent configuration files. CMake generates native makefiles and workspaces that can be used in the compiler environment of your choice.

Additional Notes

To use CMake 3.12.3 load the relevant environment module:

module load cmake/3.12.3

By default CMake will use the GNU compiler suite. If you want to use the Intel compilers, and this is recommended for best performance, they can by set by issuing the following commands:

export CC=icc export CXX=icpc export FC=ifort
