Dr. Evan Smyth is Senior Software Architect at the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) leading the Digital Twin program concentrating on visualisation and simulation as well as high-performance computing (HPC) scheduling systems development.
Before joining ICHEC, Evan worked in a number of computer graphics and cloud/HPC startup ventures after a substantial career in the Hollywood feature film and animation business at DreamWorks Animation and Sony Pictures Imageworks.
He holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s degree from Harvard University and two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
