Iain Georgeson

Master of Engineering from the University of Durham
Iain started his career in the telecoms industry, working on embedded call control software in telephone exchanges. He has since gradually moved from software to systems engineering. His first position in HPC was for Daresbury Laboratory in 2005 on the HPCx service. Since then, he has been part of the commissioning of HECToR at the University of Edinburgh and Shaheen at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. He has also worked on KAUST's visualisation and other cluster facilities.
Iain joined ICHEC in May 2019
