James Grogan
James obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Galway in 2013, working on computational solid mechanics for medical device applications. Following this he joined the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford as a post-doctoral researcher, working on modelling soft tissue growth in cancer research.
His professional experience covers the development of local build and CI/CD tooling, machine learning and computer vision model and pipeline development for 3D applications at ZEG.ai and enterprise GUI application development and design at Cisco, Webex.
James joined ICHEC as a Computational Scientist in February 2023, focusing on the development of data management and storage applications in the IO-SEA project and distributed machine learning workflows.
