My recent research focuses on processes in autumn and winter seasons that are relevant for subseasonal to seasonal predictability in the Northern Hemisphere. In particular, I study the influences of tropical sea surface temperature (eg, El Nino-Southern Oscillation) and Arctic sea ice as internal climate drivers.
At ICHEC, I will initially work with high-resolution climate projections data for Ireland and the UK.
I am also interested in the applications of Data Science and Statistics in the areas of climate, weather, natural hazards, environment, water, energy and health.
