Opening.io, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup based in Dublin, has have recently completed work with the Irish Centre for High End Computing (ICHEC) in partnership with Microsoft Ireland and Nvidia on a proof of concept project aimed at increasing software performance by porting CPU based software to GPUs.

ICHEC supercomputer user Dr. Cristina Trujillo has been awarded funding via a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Starting Investigator Research Grant (SIRG) award, for her project entitled “Using novel computational methods in a highly efficient procedure to obtain pharmaceutical compounds for initial chemical design”.
